An overview of the medical application of cannabis and business aspects of the cannabis industry, presented by Marianne Bays, PhD and Leslie Reyes, RN.

A discussion of how the cannabis laws in New Jersey differ from that of other states, and how those laws affect business practices, as well as the barriers doctors and nurses face in New Jersey when recommending this medicine for their patients.

Marianne Bays is a medical cannabis industry and business analyst and consultant in NJ.  She has  over  20  years  of  experience  consulting with organizations  on process,  performance and structure improvement; and  in  human  resources  and  information  systems  management  and measurement.  She holds a PhD in Business – Organization and Policy Studies from CUNY Graduate Center in NYC.

Leslie Reyes is a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey.  Before becoming a nurse, Leslie taught yoga, and also spent three years working at an alternative health care center in Los Angeles, CA where she advocated for cannabis patients.  Leslie has a background in Holistic Nursing, Behavioral Health and Urgent Care. She currently works as a Psychiatric Nurse, and is the Secretary and a Board Member for the American Cannabis Nurses Association.
