After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

- Describe the basic physiology of the endocannabinoid system

- Describe the pharmacology, toxicology, and side effects of medical cannabis and its constituents

- Apply the current knowledge base of cannabinoid medicine to clinical encounters in general practice and various specialty fields

- Assess the risks and benefits of cannabinoid therapy with individual patients, based on available research, and identify good candidates for treatment

- Create specific cannabis or cannabinoid treatment plans for patients
